BACKGROUND

Brij is pioneering "OneAfrica," a project designed to bring millions of African SMEs online via a pan-African currency exchange system. This allows businesses to settle cross-border transactions in their local currencies. Over the past five years, we have developed proprietary infrastructure to bridge the gap for SME peer-to-peer transactions and global trade access. Headquartered in Accra, we maintain a presence across East, West, and Southern Africa.
We have partnered with Africa’s largest Telcos, Banks, and Fintechs to build a digital pipeline for essential services targeting SMEs and the Bottom-of-the-Pyramid (BoP). We also boast an integration with the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS), positioned as the "companion solution" for the street and local market, ie, everyday African trade.
The successful candidate is expected to acquire customers and develop business partnerships to support Northern Nigeria customers with Africa cross-border payment needs. We are looking for a team mate to activate our services across Northern Nigeria in particular, the ancient Kano-to-Maradi (K2M) corridor extending all the way to Eritrea and beyond.
 

 SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Life-Cycle Management of Sales and Business Development Activities, Northern Nigeria:

Opportunity Management
Development of sales strategy, management of sales plans, tracking of prospective customers, and management of sales information:
Identifies and qualifies customers
Generates demand for Brij products and services

Market Analysis
Identification of potential market segments and individual customers to target sales efforts

Forecasting and Deal Prioritization
Determination of potential income streams, and desirability and probability to close

Sales Management 
Performs Sales Funnel and Sales activity management

Account and Customer Relationship Management
Responsible for Life-cycle management of customer relationship: 
Manages customer expectations
Contract implementation and value optimization
Identification of up-sell opportunities 
Management of Customer Information
Management of Operations Service Management
Order Tracking and Event Monitoring 
Management of SLA/OLA 
Issue Management
Trend Analysis and Problem Reporting & Management/Resolution Client Team Management
Communications Management including providing assistance to customers to help them manage internal communications, relating to the Brij product

Management Reporting

Provide management of reports:
Products & Competitive Positioning
Market segment attractiveness
Opportunity list and business development status 
General progress report on sales activities
Management reporting of account status (profitability, budget, schedule)
Issue Management -identification and resolution


Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a focus on payment gateway, remittance or financial products.
5+ years of experience in sales leadership,partnership development or business growth roles
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a sales team.
In-depth knowledge of the remittance industry, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
Proven experience (5)years in sales
Willingness to travel as needed.
