Job Summary
Report Line: Head of Projects
Mode of Work: On-site
Location: Surulere, Lagos.
Responsibilities;
1. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and budget allocations.
2. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients and team members, to ensure alignment of project goals and expectations.
3. Monitor project progress and performance against established metrics and quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
4. Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders through regular meetings, reports, presentations, and other communication channels.
5. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and other relevant records, to support project governance and compliance requirements.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Oversee infrastructure development activities and manage timelines, and integrate sustainable development practices.
8. Liaise with government agencies, consultants, and communities
9. Promote smart city initiatives and resilience planning, and consider environmental and social impacts.
10. Engage advanced data collection techniques and cutting-edge technologies, such as remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and other modeling tools, to mobilize accurate and reliable urban development and infrastructure information.
11. Produce maps, plans, and other development management guides that could respond to the challenges of cities in developing countries with considerations for the climate change crisis, low carbon emission, smart concepts, and other emerging models that will shape the future of cities.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Urban planning and development, Project management, civil engineering, or a related field.
2. Masters degree is required, and a professional certificate is an added advantage.
3. 5-7 years of experience in project management, infrastructure, or urban development projects.
4. Strong project management, organizational, and technical skills.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
