Our client is a leading and diversified Nigerian conglomerate with business interests across Oil & Gas Services, Energy, Aviation, and Mining. The organisation operates through multiple subsidiaries and is seeking a highly experienced professional to provide strategic leadership across its shared services functions.

🎯 JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Shared Services (HSS) will provide strategic and operational leadership across key shared service functions, ensuring effective administration, operational efficiency, cost management, and alignment with the organisation’s overall business objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to strengthen business operations, optimise resources, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

🔑 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for shared services, administration, and operational support functions.
Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures that improve organisational efficiency.
Drive process improvement, cost optimisation, and effective resource utilisation.
Coordinate corporate support functions and ensure seamless service delivery across business units.
Provide strategic and operational support to senior management.
Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for organisational growth.
Work closely with Finance and other departments to promote effective financial management and accountability.
Prepare management reports, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop teams to achieve high-performance standards.
Ensure effective collaboration and communication across departments and business units.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
 

🎓 REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with significant experience in a leadership or senior management position.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
Professional certification such as FCIPM, FNIM, or other relevant professional qualifications is an added advantage.
Proven experience in administration, operations, and strategic management.
Strong business development and commercial awareness.
Good financial acumen and understanding of business financial management.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Aviation, Mining, or a diversified business group is an added advantage.
Technical, engineering, marketing, or operations experience will be an added advantage.
Ability to manage multiple functions and stakeholders in a fast-paced corporate environment.
