About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front End Developer to join our dynamic team at Townsend, a prominent large enterprise in the technology sector. This is a permanent position designed for a creative and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about developing innovative user-facing features for digital platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of current industry trends, content management systems, and front-end frameworks. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, back-end developers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and responsive web applications. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing user experience and driving the company's digital initiatives forward.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

 

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Proficiency in web markup languages such as HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms like LESS and SASS.
• Strong understanding of client-side scripting, particularly JavaScript frameworks including jQuery.
• Knowledge of asynchronous request handling, AJAX, and partial page updates.
• Basic skills in image editing tools such as Gimp or Photoshop for minor adjustments.
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
• Proficiency in version control systems, especially Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in the Construction industry is a plus but not mandatory.
  
   

Responsibilities

The Front End Developer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks aimed at creating engaging, fast, and reliable web experiences. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional interfaces.
• Validating user inputs to maintain data integrity and security before submission to back-end services.
• Participating in client discussions to clarify project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Designing prototypes for websites and applications to visualize concepts and gather feedback.
• Implementing and adhering to brand standards, design guidelines, and best practices.
• Testing new software features, identifying bugs, and implementing fixes promptly.
